Production
The brief
Our partners at Zeal Creative came to us to supercharge La Casera’s marketing over the summer across every key consumer touchpoint, from ecommerce to social, DOOH to in-store. With a refreshed campaign lineup featuring Blanca de Verano Limón, Tinto de Verano Limón, Tinto de Verano Limón 0%, Clear Lemonade, and the wider soft drinks range, our task was to create a suite of assets (a perfect blend of lifestyle, product, and serve-focused content) that felt as vibrant, refreshing and unmistakably Spanish as the drinks themselves.
The look and feel needed to be boldly saturated, crisp and sharp, visuals that instantly conveyed refreshment. Cans had to appear cold and glossy, with condensation detail and all branding elements clearly visible at all times.
The final assets had to walk a fine line: elevated and beautiful, but still grounded in reality; not glossy CGI, but tactile and real, with mockups and layouts that served the brand’s ambition while staying true to its down-to-earth spirit.
This was a production-first approach: building a full ecosystem of assets that could flex across various channels with ease all while making La Casera the drink of the summer.
The challenges
With summer fast approaching, we were working to a super-tight turnaround, from pre-production through to delivery. We needed to be agile and move fast, ensuring quality was never sacrificed.
In addition to that, we faced a second major challenge: capturing the essence of a Spanish summer without ever leaving the studio. La Casera is deeply rooted in Spanish culture, so the environment had to feel authentic.
We had to build that world from scratch emulating the relaxed, golden-hour vibe of a real Spanish terrace.
So, how did we achieve this?
Our approach
With tight deadlines and ambitious creative demands, our production strategy had to be fast, flexible, and efficient. To maximise both time and space, we built two practical rigs in Studios 5 and 6, allowing us to shoot simultaneously across multiple setups, from lifestyle scenes to close-up product moments.
In Studio 4, we introduced a virtual production rig, giving us even more creative control. This allowed us to craft AI-generated backdrops that captured the essence of Spanish summer.
To bridge the gap between stills and video while using the same visual environment, we trialled a new approach: using AI-generated stills as backdrops and applying motion tools to bring them to life. It was the first time we deployed this technique commercially, and the results exceeded expectations: delivering rich, believable movement while keeping the spotlight on the product.
This multirig hybrid production approach (blending traditional studio setups with virtual production and AI-enhanced techniques) allowed us to create a large volume of versatile content in a short space of time, without compromising on craft, detail, or authenticity.
Results
The content has since been rolled out across a wide range of channels; from the brand’s own website to third-party platforms like Amazon and event partners such as Taste of London, and a variety of social media platforms.
By building a virtual environment instead of travelling to Spain, we achieved significant CO2 savings as well as considerable cost savings for the brand.
