Building a unified asset library for Gonzalez Byass
González Byass is a family-owned Spanish wine and spirits group, with a heritage stretching back to 1835. Over nearly two centuries, the company has grown into a portfolio of distinctive wineries and brands across Spain, each reflecting its own style, region, and winemaking expertise. From sparkling cavas to Rioja reds and coastal Albariños, González Byass combines tradition, craftsmanship, and innovation to create wines that resonate both locally and internationally.

The brief
González Byass approached us to breathe new life into their content, with a particular focus on Vilarnau and its distinctive Gaudí-inspired bottle sleeves.
Alongside the popular cava brand, they required new assets for other labels within their portfolio. Including Beronia (who we’ve previously worked with on their 2023 Christmas Campaign), Lusco, Altozano, Dominio Fournier, Jerez, Finca Moncloa and Secastilla.
All content was created for a UK audience, and needed to be versatile, suitable for both their own channels and key retail partners, while maintaining a cohesive visual identity across the entire family of brands.

The challenges
The biggest challenge was balancing budget with expectations. While a shoot in Spain would have been ideal to capture that authentic look and feel, it wasn’t on the cards this time. Instead, we got creative in our studio, designing sets that felt true to the brands’ Spanish heritage.
Shooting for multiple brands in just a few days meant a packed schedule and plenty of moving parts. We needed to capture a mix of lifestyle and product imagery, all within the same window.
The sets also needed to feel both cohesive and adaptable, able to work across the different brands within the González Byass family without ever feeling like a copy and paste job.

Our approach
The shoot needed plenty of space to cover the extensive shot list. That’s where Studios 5 & 6 came in. As our largest open spaces, they allowed us to create modular sets with ease. By keeping everything under one roof, set stylists, food stylists and photographers could rotate easily, prepping and pivoting in an instant, maximising time and output.
Based on the brief, we designed sets that embodied the brand’s message, “Celebrating Life’s Little Moments”, spanning beach scenes, outdoor terraces, kitchens, and dining spaces. To keep the sets interchangeable across the different brands, we rotated props (tables, dishes, and tablecloths) adjusting the look and feel for each scene.
For Vilarnau, a mosaic-tiled table complemented the Gaudí-inspired bottle sleeve. For Beronia, consistency was key, so we recreated the kitchen and outdoor terrace from our previous shoot to build a seamless narrative. For Lusco, we used virtual production to create a beach scene, delivering a realistic, aspirational backdrop for the product in use. Finally, we captured a bunch of evergreen imagery for the other Gonzalez Byass brands (Altozano, Dominio Fournier, Jerez, Finca Moncloa and Secastilla) that could coexist with the rest of the library.

Results

We successfully delivered a centralised asset hub for González Byass, featuring high-quality imagery designed to drive brand awareness and increase purchase intent across major retailers like Ocado.
