Jessica Metzelaar-McGee
Head of Production
Jess studied Communication Studies at university, where a work placement sparked her passion for production and led to a career spanning post-production, production, and agency roles.
She started in post-production on VFX for major films like Pirates of the Caribbean 4 before moving into agency and production roles, working across commercials, documentaries, corporate films, and digital campaigns with brands including The Gate, Asda, and IMA.
Jess is driven by the chance to collaborate with creative people, bring ideas to life and making sure every project shines. Becoming Head of Production had always been a goal, when the opportunity came up at Powerhouse she knew it was the perfect fit, in her role she leads our brilliant team while pushing our production offering to new heights. Recent highlights include Jacksons’ TVC and Cravendale’s OOH campaign, where we worked with a coffee specialist to capture stunning slow-motion shots (and enjoyed a few excellent samples along the way).
Outside of work, you’ll usually find her cold-water swimming, pottering in the garden, or spending time with her family.
